Pakistan scored 309 runs while batting first
Pakistan A's opening pair Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan in action during their match against UAE in ACC Men's Emerging Asia Cup - ACCQasim Akram was on song with the ball as the off-spinner took six wickets to help Pakistan A bowl out UAE A for 125 runs and win their second match by 184 runs in the ACC Emerging Men's Asia Cup. Akram didn't let the UAE A batters settle down at the crease. Set to chase 310 runs, UAE A kept losing wickets after regular intervals. Aryansh Sharma (37) and Jonathan Figy (25) scored a 59-run opening partnership before Akram removed Sharma. Akram bagged another wicket in no time followed by debutant Sufiyan Muqeem joining the party.
The young Muqeem took three wickets to provide massive support to Akram on the other end. Mohammad Wasim Jr also took a wicket for Pakistan.Earlier, Pakistan A batters pushed really hard on a spinning track as they managed to score 309 runs in 49.2 overs. Sent into bat first, Pakistan A openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan provided an ideal start to their team. The two batters scored 98 runs in 15 overs to remain on top. Mohammed Faraazuddin bagged Sahibzada to provide the first breakthrough to the men in green. Sahibzada, who replaced young Haseebullah in the squad, scored 63 off 55 balls before getting out. Saim continued the momentum alongside Omair Bin Yousuf but couldn't stay there for longer. He scored 56 runs before falling to Adhitya Shetty. Kamran Ghulam (63) and skipper Mohammad Haris (55) scored 87 runs in the middle to stabilise Pakistan A's batting chart. Jash Giyanani bagged four wickets for the UAE A team. Matiullah Khan took two wickets whereas Nilansh Keswani, Ali Naseer, Adhitya, and Farazudding shared a wicket apiece.
