However, with the World Cup 2023, and Pakistan’s skipper sitting as the no.1 ranked batter in the world, it would be interesting to see to which angle the mega event turns this debate. From fans to experts, no one has managed to refrain their self from giving an opinion on this hot debate. Similarly, Naved-ul-Hasan also compared the two powerhouses and rated the Pakistani above the Indian.“Whenever we compare Babar Azam or Virat Kohli, I always say Babar is more technically sound than him, and this is why he has rare failures. Kohli struggled recently for a year or year and a half because he is a bottom-handed player, and when these players fail it lasts longer,” said Naved on Nadir Ali's podcast. The former pacer wasn’t shy to admit that Kohli has more shots under his wing but Babar makes the most of what he has. He also gave his opinion on the reason why Virat has more variety of shots.“Babar is technically sounder but Kohli has more shots than him. However, Babar makes good use of his limited shots.”“The reason Kohli has more shots than Babar is that the pitches in India are superb for batting, he plays in the IPL where he faces world-class bowlers,” he said.Lastly, the 45-year-old concluded by saying that if he was still bowling in rhythm, getting Kohli out would be a lot easier than Babar.“If I was in my old rhythm, then between the two I can get Kohli out easily. I had good outswing so I would have gotten him caught at slips or the wicketkeeper,” he concluded. It must be noted that the most anticipated match of the World Cup will be played between India and Pakistan on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the biggest stadium in the world that can gather as many as 132,000 spectators.Men in Green???s record against the Blues in the World Cup isn’t something one would want to talk about as the former have lost seven out of seven matches against the latter including an infamous semi-final defeat in the 2011 World Cup in Mohali.
